London's 4th Birthday

Last Wednesday London Paisley turned 4 year old.
This is the first year that she's been really aware and excited for her birthday, and she has been counting down for weeks. Her excitement was precious.

Tuesday I came down with some sort of stomach bug and was completely out of commision. Tuesday, as in the day before her birthday. The day before, with not much done. Thankfully Daniel rocks and was able to come to our rescue. He executed all of our traditions, from decorating behind the kitchen to filling up her room with birthday balloons.

He did a great job.  He even took London to the store to buy cupcakes for her class. She picked these out:

On her big day, Daddy made her a special birthday breakfast complete with birthday candles. Sadly, I was still sick in the bed and there are no pictures.

Later, we brought the cupcakes up to her preschool.
She was so excited to share cupcakes with her friends.
Its hard to believe she's this big.

When we got home we did presents and cake.

One of my favorite of our birthday traditions is that the kids make each other's cake for our at home celebration. Dylan did a great job this year:

Several of our traditions, like the birthday kids choosing their meal,  had to be left out due to a sick mommy. I don't think she even noticed. She had a great day.
And she went to be bed a happy four year old.
