While Dylan at camp for a week, London got to enjoy lots of one-on-one time with me, her daddy, and her grammy. I wanted the week to be very special for her. We decided to call the week "Mommy Camp" and each day we did something extra fun together.
Day 1:
I took Miss Priss to McDonalds for lunch and story time. She got to play there until her heart was content. I think we were there for two hours. Then we headed over to hawaiian falls. The entire day she kept saying "I wonder what Bubba is doing right now?" She loves him so much!
Day 2:
Sister and I went to Going Bonkers, a huge jungle gym basically. She is a little hesitant when it come to heights so she pretty much only played on the lower level. When Dylan was this age we would take him and he would climb straight to the top as soon as we got there. They are so different! After Bonkers I needed to run into Target. At the checkout London spotted sugar cookies and half heartedly asked "can we get them since its Mommy Camp?" I know she expected me to say "No way" (because I always, always do) but she was right, it was "Mommy Camp" so I said "Okay!". I wish I had snapped a picture of her face. Its the little things! I also let her eat lunch in my bed while watching TV. This is also something that NEVER happens. She is still talking about that.
Day 3:
Chuck E Cheese.
I know lots of parents hate this place but I LOVE it. I guess I'm just a big kid. And at London's age, I can buy her $10 worth of coins and entertain her for a couple of hours. We had the best time.
Day 4:
We chilled at home during the day and saved the day's special treats for when Daddy got home. After dinner we went to get cupcakes at a local bakery. London wanted her Daddy to sit in the backseat with her and for me to drive them. I don't know what made her want to do that, but I thought it was funny. After cupcakes she asked if we could get ice cream so we went to chickfila for that. Then we headed to the park where we played until dark.
Day 5:
We spent the last day of "Mommy Camp" with Grammy.
We went to the big mall and basically did everything London asked to do.
She rode the train and the carousel (twice, I think), bought a giant balloon, went through a laser maze, and adopted a new friend at Build a Bear.
We sure did miss our brother while he was at camp, but it was really nice to get to spend such quality time with my baby girl. Part of me can't wait until she is old enough for camp so that I'll get a special week with Dylan each summer too.
Hey, I have a quick question I wanted to ask you about your blog, do you think you could send me an email when you get this? Thanks!
