4th of July
Yes, that says 4th of July and yes it is mid October.
What can I say? I fell (way) behind. So buckle up for a benge of catch up post this weekend!!
I love the 4th of July.
(I'm pretty sure I say that about every single holiday)
I love how laid back it is.I love hanging out with our friends. I love teaching my kids why we are so lucky to be Americans. Even with all of our flaws, we are a great country and Daniel and I are so proud to be Americans, and we hope to pass that on to our kids.
And lets be really real. I love the BBQ.
We started the day at the parade.
I was mixed up on the start time and had us there an hour earlier than need be. The kids were starting to get pretty antsy by the time we started. Next year, I think we will bring a breakfast picnic and a soccer ball to keep us busy while we wait for the parade.

Once the parade started everyone was a happy camper.
London was especially loving it. She was smiling ear to ear the entire time. I love preschoolers. They find so much joy in the most simple of things. Dylan had a great time too, but he's starting take on a much more "chill" attitude lately. So he sat back and smiled his half smile and waved to the parade participates from his seat. Until they started throwing candy!

After the parade we enjoyed some quiet time at home and then headed to our good friends' house for some BBQ, oh and quality time together.
We spent the day with them and then met up with a bunch of friends for fireworks.
We capped the night off a little Sonic half price shake action.
