Days at the Park.

Days at the park are one my very most favorite things in the whole world.

We were able to enjoy a nice warm, not hot, day at the park this past Sunday. It was pure bliss. This was also our first trip to the park with a walking little girl! She thought she was HOT STUFF walking around like a big girl.
Notice that SHE is leading Daddy. (and excuse his huge fashion crises moment)

Our little Social Butterfly makes friends everywhere that she goes.

I think this is when Dylan was "blasting the wall of the castle down". His little imagination is crazy vivid!

Even super heroes need to take a break (all while being oh so cute!)

My loves.

Even if she is a walking girl, her favorite park activity still requires sitting and lots of giggling.

Magic.

For part of his birthday, we took Dylan to Sea World in San Antonio The whole trip was pretty magical for my sweet little man. His eyes stayed wide with excitement the whole time we were there, two loooooonnnnngggg full days. The first exhibit that we visited was coral reef tank. It was the largest single aquarium I have ever seen. It was just beautiful. I wish I could have captured the look in Dylan's eyes when he walked it. We have been to the Aquariums often, but this was just HUGE and SO BEAUTIFUL. We even got to watch the scuba diver feed the fish and manta rays. Dylan loved every minute of if.

Next up for the day was the Shamu show, "Believe." Magic is the only word I have for it. I'm sure the show was very exciting, but I couldn't tell you very much about it because I couldn't stop watching Dylan's face. His eyes would get so huge I thought they might explode when Shamu did his big jumps. He giggled uncontrollably when "that big, huge fish, named a whale" slapped his tail, soaking the whole front of the audience. Smiles of pure delight took over his face the entire show. Watching him was just magical. Shamu was his favorite part of the trip.

The entire weekend Dylan took every chance to show that, like magic, he had become a BIG kid over night. He rode (almost) fearlessly on a BIG roller coaster with his Daddy and I while baby sis watched from below with Uncle Lee (I think I forgot to mention that we ended up taking he with us and she did GREAT!). He was not scared during the roller coaster even though his mom was praying for their lives because he is now a BIG kid. How could this be, I gave birth to you just yesterday it seems. I guess it was Magic.
And since he is now a BIG kid, I guess its only natural for him to get Tatted (is that even a word!?) Up. Don't get crazy, not with real ink. Just a henna. Truthfully, I hate kid tattoos. But he saw the booths and kept ooo-ing and ahhhh-ing, and then I saw a panther on one of the booths that looked SO much like my Handsome Hubby's that I HAD to let him. You know, so he could be just like Daddy. Since he is a big kid and all.

Yep. He was one of the big boys now.

We also saw a dolphin show and a sea lion show that were both full of delight and magic.

And both nights, Dylan and London were both asleep before their little heads even hit the pillow, just like magic.

Still Alive!

Sorry to have not been around the past week. I was pretty sick. Hubby even took a day and a half off of work to take care of me (this NEVER happens.) I'm better now, but have lots of house work to catch up on. Be back soon.

First Day of School

Dylan had his first day of PreK at his new school on Tuesday. I thought that he would be a little nervous that morning, but he was not at all. My cool kid was just ready to start a fun year at school and make new friends. When he woke up on Tuesday, I said "Dyl, are you ready for your first day of school!?" He replied "Yep! I'm going to meet my new friends and I am going to say 'Hi! My name is Dylan!" This kid is seriously too cute.

Bless London's little heart, I could tell she wasn't sure what to do at home with out her big brother. She just adores him and follows him around everywhere that he goes. She and I did have some good girl-time together though.

She and I were more than ready to pick him up that afternoon. Daniel joined us on his lunch break to pick up our big man. He was a ball of joy and was having a great time when we picked him up. He said he made some "cool friends", but that the girls only wanted to play with each other and not with and boys like him. His favorite part of the day was playing on the play ground and getting to share cupcakes with his new friends for his birthday.

And when he saw his Daddy was there to pick him up, that's all that he cared about. My pumpkin is an all out Daddy's boy. He thinks his dad is a real life hero. I would not have it any other way. And his daddy is equally crazy about him. Gosh, I love my boys!

My BIG Man is FIVE!!!

Wow! I can NOT believe that my sweet little boy is FIVE years old. Where in the world has all that time gone? I swear to you that it feels like just yesterday that I was bringing him home from the hospital. As it turns out, it was acutally five years ago on Monday that I brought home the most beautiful little boy I have ever seen. Dylan has always been my little sunshine. He is the happies babe I have ever known. He is super laid back and slow to get upset. He is so, so special to me and I am honored to be his Mommy. Thank You, Jesus, for my sweet little boy.

Then...

Knowing Dates

For the past week, I have honestly thought that tomorrow, Friday, was September 5. So all week I have been telling Dylan "Friday is your birthday!!". Thanks to my Sister in Law, I figured out that the 5th is actually on Saturday. So I had to tell Dylan, "Mommy thought your birthday was tomorrow, but its really on Saturday." All he had to say about that was "Well, can we still have cake tomorrow?" Yep, we will have cake.

In fact, we will have a big Birthday dinner with the family tomorrow night at fun restaurant and then head to San Antonio for Sea World on Saturday. London is going to hang out with my mom while we are gone. I am nervous to leave her, but no she will be in great hands. I look forward to being able to focus on having lots of fun with Dylan and can't wait for London to be old enough to enjoy such outings with us. I think she would be so miserable to spend the whole day there if she came.

London is 11 Months!

I say this every single month, but DARN!! Time flies! *Sigh* I can't believe my baby will be one year old next month. That is so surreal to me. More surreal is that big brother is going to be turning FIVE tomorrow!!! I'll post all about Dylan's big day later though. Here is what Miss London was up to this past month:

*Still crawling around everywhere, and now at super speed.

*Pulling herself up on EVERYTHING.

*About half way through the month she started letting go of objects that she pulled up onto and standing on her own for little bits at a time.

*Cruises with ease. Its so funny to watch, but she will hang onto the wall and cruise along side it too.

*Is starting to sound out simple words. "HeyWo" (Hello), when "talking" on her phone. "Doe" (Down) are her most common new words.

*Blows kisses

*Points with finger at what she wants/where she wants to go.

*Gives closed mouth kisses, rather than big open mouth-to-cheek slobbery ones.

*"Aww-wee's" her baby dolls. This is what we call it when she hugs and pats on the back. We will say "London, Aww-wee..." and she will love on whatever it is we asked her to. But lately she does it on her own with her dolls.

*The biggest news of all: SHE TOOK HER FIRST STEPS TODAY!!! One day shy of 11 months, Miss London took 5 steps in a row!! Dylan walked at 10 months, and I asked her if she was going to let him beat her on that milestone the other day. I thought she was going to let him, but I guess she decided not too! :D My heart was so full of pride I thought it might bust.

Her stats for this month are:

Height: 30 inches, 95th percentile

Weight: 25.9 lbs, 97th percentile
